🏦Deposit Phase
Once you've discovered the safari you want to join, the first step is to provide liquidity.
Let's say you've discovered a safari on Savanna called GAZELLE. It's launching on the Osmosis blockchain. You like the incentives structure, you like the team, and you decide to support it.
You can choose to deposit tokens, such as ATOM, OSMO, USDC, or any other whitelisted token as determined by the project in exchange for LP tokens.
In our example, you decide to deposit USDC, and you receive a supply of GAZELLE/USDC LP tokens. Your LP tokens are locked up for a standard period of three months, and you will not receive rewards during that time. However! GAZELLE also offers you the option of locking up these LP tokens for longer than three months, and offers you additional rewards for doing so.
This Deposit Phase can be open anywhere from one to ten days, and projects may choose to allow users to change or withdraw their deposits during that time. If allowing withdrawals, projects can decide whether to allow for FULL withdrawals, in which the user may remove all of liquidity they have provided all at once, or LINEAR withdrawals, where a user may withdraw their liquidity over time.
In the case of GAZELLE, the team has chosen to allow for full withdrawals during the deposit phase. This means that if you change your mind about how you want to support GAZELLE, you have the ability to withdraw your deposit at any time before the end of the Deposit Phase.
